Chef Stella Giraldella, the founder of Basil Personal Chef, grew up in a Brazilian family where she learned at an early age that quality food was an essential ingredient to good living. As a child, she watched her grandmother prepare culinary masterpieces from scratch. Her grandmother was an avid traveler and instilled in Stella the importance of experiencing diverse cuisines from around the globe.
In 2006, Stella moved to Miami and decided to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and experience worldwide culinary diversity. She began learning all about Latin and Caribbean cuisine. But it was not enough. In 2011, Stella attended Florida International University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Culinary Management. In 2012, Stella attended Miami Culinary Institute, earning a certificate in Culinary Arts. Stella now resides in Miami and has since then has founded Basil Personal Chef in May of 2014.
Chef Stella's first client was La Cuisine Appliances. For her first event, she made a cocktail party with Gaggenau, live cooking for 200 people in Coral Gables at Scavolini Kitchens. In 2012, she became a BSH Chef, working for Gaggenau, Thermador, and Bosch making live demos of different appliances in showrooms across South Florida, such as the Palm Events at West Palm Beach, and The Real Deal Event in Dania Beach.
Chef Stella has participated in various culinary events across the United States. In 2015, she participated in Sobe WFF working for Bosch, and in January of 2018, Stella worked with Bosch and Chef Curtis stone at KBIS. She also worked alongside Monark Appliances for Sobe WFF 2016 and 2018. She also participated in The Iron Fork, Las Olas Wine & Food Festival, and at Monark’s showroom events. In 2017, Stella was one of the two Women for Wellness at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. During four years, she was invited to participated in the Home Design and Remodeling Show to do live demos.
Chef Stella also works with two amazing realtor companies, ISG (International Sales Group) and PMG (Property Markets Group), making cocktail parties and personalized events. If that's not enough, Chef Stella also works with LCI Showrooms creating breathtaking private events, as well as Ritz-Carlton Residences and Muse Residences. She started working as a personal chef just making healthy food, and little by little she began to make private parties, weddings, pool parties, cocktail parties and today she is a sensational chef in South Florida.
Today, Chef Stella Giraldella also works for elite professional athletes during their injury rehabilitation process. Alongside with a wonderful team of doctors, trainers, and nutritionists, Chef Stella creates personalized menus that cater to the athlete's needs and ensures that their road to recovery is fast, healthy, nutritious, and delicious.
